Our Story:

I was doing framing work for a construction company when I fell through an open hole on a roof that was covered with tar paper. As a result, I experienced the difficulties associated with going through a nasty workers comp claim/lawsuit. I found that I had to learn everything about the process and educate the attorney and judge because they didn’t know exactly how the law was written and interpreted. After winning the case, I took the settlement money and started selling insurance for ABC Supply. They had their own insurance company called National Contractors Insurance Company. I sold thousands of policies to roofers before the owner, Ken Hendricks, slipped off his roof and passed away. His wife chose to let the program run out and closed the insurance carrier. I took the remaining customers and shopped insurance for them to keep them in the agency. During the process, I learned a lot about the insurance industry and how the different insurance markets work. This experience has enabled us to develop insurance plans that are well-suited and practical for the needs of the SPF industry.
